Yes! Chiropractic has a remarkable safety record and is known for its safe and effective approach to healthcare. We want your chiropractic experience to be as comfortable as possible. This is why we conduct a thorough history and clinical assessment. To ensure peace of mind, time will always be made for further clarification or discussion if needed.
Recommendations for care are unique to the individual and are based on the presenting complaint/s, history and clinical assessment. Initially visits may be closer together to ensure appropriate healing and improved function. As your body begins to stabilise these visits will become less frequent. How long this takes depends on many factors that your chiropractor will explain.
The techniques used at MWC include NIP (NeuroImpulse Protocol), Thompson Drop and Diversified to provide a specific approach to each individual.
Whilst effective, some people prefer not to have manual “cracking” adjustments performed on their spine and in some instances it is not clinically recommended. We use a range of techniques and approaches that can be both light force and manual to suit your preference and what would be most beneficial to your body to help your body to function at its best.
Yes! Chiropractic care is very safe and effective for pregnancy and there are no known contra-indications. Techniques are adapted to suit each stage of the pregnancy, including the use of pregnancy pillows to assist with comfort. Our chiropractors are trained in pregnancy adjusting and also utilise techniques that relieve joint and ligament restriction in the pelvis and uterus.
Yes, our chiropractic services are eligible to claim on private health insurance. We have the ability to process claims on the spot which means you will be liable to pay the remaining 'gap' that your health fund does not cover at the appointment.
This will depend on your health history and presenting complaint. In some instances further investigation and imaging may be needed and a referral will be given. This will be discussed with you at the new patient consultation. If you have any existing images, please bring a copy of both the images and accompanying image report to your appointment.
No, chiropractors are primary healthcare practitioners so you do not need a referral. We are happy to work with your GP or other practitioners to ensure you receive the best care possible.
Yes! Many people come to our office and are nervous about the manual cracking adjustments to the neck or spine. While safe and very effective this approach is not always clinically indicated or preferred. Your chiropractor will discuss their approach and can offer other light and gentle techniques, such as NeuroImpulse Protocol that don’t involve any “cracking”. Our chiropractors are proficient at both manual and light force adjusting and will find an approach that best suits you
